AVIATORS AND AFTERBURNERS is a 30-minute theatrical performance honoring naval aviation and chronicles how Hampton Roads played a part in its history.
On May 8, 1911, the United States Navy ordered its first airplanes and US Naval Aviation was born. Over the course of the past century, Naval Aviation roared forward on the backs of the finest aircraft, aviators, and flight crews in the world. Now, over 100 years after its founding, the spirit and essence of United States Naval Aviation is celebrated in this 30-minute theatrical show.
Performances July 4 through the end of August on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday nights. 8:30 & 9:30pm performances at the magnificent Naval Aviation Monument at 25th street and the Virginia Beach oceanfront.
