Last Night on the Town

Virginia Beach will once again celebrate the arrival of the New Year with a festive “Last Night on the Town” New Year’s Eve event, hosted by the Central Business District Association.

We're taking the event to the street for 2016, with the Countdown Stage moving into Columbus Avenue to accommodate more festivities and participants!

The 4th annual Last Night on the Town begins with a family-friendly celebration at Pembroke Mall, then continues right through the night with entertainment at Town Center, culminating with a live performance by a national recording artist.

Beginning at 2:00pm, bring the children to Pembroke Mall for family fun. Performers including stilt walkers and a cirque mime troupe will delight the crowd throughout the mall, while a yo-yo artist, animated characters, and puppet storytellers entertain on several stages. Kids can celebrate together during their own countdown celebration!

Toast to the New Year at Town Center’s Countdown Stage from 5:30pm until Midnight. Enjoy more roving entertainment and dance the night away to performances by favorite local bands. Performances on the main stage keep things rocking until the New Year. Count down to midnight and enjoy a spectacular laser light and fireworks show as a big ball drops to ring in 2017!

All activities and entertainment are free and open to the public.

Food and adult beverages will be available for purchase in the heart of Town Center. Free parking will be available in the Town Center garages, with overflow parking available at Pembroke Mall.

Proceeds support the Virginia Legends Walk.
