Officially ushering in the holiday season in Virginia Beach, the TowneBank Holiday Parade at the Beach affords local businesses, schools, and organizations the opportunity to support the community and celebrate the season with thousands of parade-goers.

Giant balloons, marching bands, lighted floats, equestrian units, fire trucks, performing dance groups, motorcycles, and more join forces to present a dazzling and entertaining night of fun for all ages!

HOLIDAY PARADE AT THE BEACH APPLICATION 2010

Festive fish, jumping dolphins, frolicking porpoises – all in bright, colored lights against the clear night-time sky, are the stars of McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach, a nautical and holiday-themed light display at the Virginia Beach oceanfront!  They are joined by Santa, elves, and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree erected on the beach and in the beautiful parks along the Virginia Beach boardwalk.

Over 50 craft beers from over 25 breweries are available for sampling at the Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival (1:00pm-6:00pm each day) at the 24th Street Park at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

Returning this October to Virginia Beach: Wild Wheels Weekend car show taking place October 2-3, 2010 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.  This show offers you the opportunity to see some of the hottest hot rods, cool classics, extreme trucks, muscle cars, imports, tuners and more.  Bringing together all generations of motor heads, this is an event not to be missed!

A little bit of Italy is coming to the Virginia Beach oceanfront for two days of pasta, pizza, Italian wine, beer, and world-class entertainment, together with family-friendly entertainment like grape-stomping!

With seating for 400 under a giant, decorated tent at the BeachStreetUSA Starfish Pavilion at 17th Street (17th Street Park) people from all walks of life and backgrounds join in one community for a two-day celebration of everything Italian! There is a $2 admission fee.

Celebrating one of the most cherished musical genres of all time, Blues at the Beach features three days of free concerts on an outdoor stage.  Local, regional, and nationally-recognized Blues acts share the stage for a riveting and heartfelt tribute to the sights, sounds, and soul of the American experience.
