Virginia Beach, Virginia – Over 50 craft beers from over 25 breweries will be available for sampling at the Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival Saturday-Sunday, October 16-17, 2010, at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.  Craft beer is made using a traditional process of blending the sugars from malted grains (such as barley or wheat), with hop flowers and water. The skill of the Masterbrewer brings out the desired aroma, color, mouth feel, foam and flavor qualities of the hops and malt through formulation of recipes and the fermentation of sugars into alcohol, carbon dioxide gas and other characters. After careful aging at just the right temperatures the beer is packaged and delivered to the consumer.

A $20 per person tasting ticket ($25 at the gate) includes a commemorative glass and unlimited tastings featuring these fine breweries:

Enjoy live music by Tin Roof Union, Muckrakes, and Rodeo Clown on Saturday and Long Division, Augustine, and Jackass Flats on Sunday.
