Officially ushering in the holiday season in Virginia Beach, the 2011 TowneBank Holiday Parade at the Beach will be held Saturday, December 3, at 5:30pm.

Over 60 parade units will make their way down Atlantic Avenue in a joyous celebration of the holiday season.  Giant balloons, marching bands, lighted floats, equestrian units, fire trucks, performing dance groups, motorcycles, and more join forces to present a dazzling and entertaining night of fun for all ages!

 

 
 
 

The TowneBank Holiday Parade at the Beach welcomes as its Grand Marshal Mrs. Nancy Creech, President and CEO of the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival.   

Tidewater Community College – Virginia Beach Campus will be presenting the giant “Mistletoes the Snowman” balloon in this year’s parade.

And best of all, Santa himself makes a grand appearance to greet all his loyal fans as the evening winds down and many families take the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Virginia Beach oceanfront!

The parade will travel North on Atlantic Avenue from 15th Street to 25th Street.  The reviewing stand will be located at 25th Street and Atlantic Avenue.

This year’s parade will be televised by WSKY-TV in Hampton Roads.
