The 4th Annual East Coast She-Crab Soup Classic will be held Saturday, April 28, at the 24th Street Park along the oceanfront.  The event will feature up to 20 of the region's leading seafood restaurants serving their unique recipes.

Guests sample She Crab Soup from competing restaurants.  Based on tastings, there are two categories for best recipe winners, with three places in each.  One category is decided by a panel of Hampton Roads food critics and the other – “The Peoples’ Choice” – by the general public. 

The East Coast She-Crab Soup Classic is limited to 1,500 people. 

Each restaurant will be serving one-ounce tastings of their recipe.  Attendees will receive a ballot to vote on their top three soups, which will determine the First, Second, and Third Place Peoples’ Choice Awards.  Leading regional food reviewers will determine the First, Second, and Third Place Critics’ Awards.

All awards will be announced at the conclusion of the event.

BeachEvents will provide free live music during the event and sell non-alcoholic beverages.
