Back by popular demand, and expanded to eight nights for 2011, the Family Great Adventure Series is all about Discovery and Entertainment at the Virginia Beach oceanfront!

IT'S AN ALIEN INVASION ON THE BEACH!
Report to the beach at 27th Street promptly at 6:00pm. Your mission: capture the space alien who’s threatening the friendly citizens of the Virginia Beach oceanfront! Your team will solve clues around the oceanfront that w...ill lead you to the secret hiding place of the alien. Capture the alien and bring him back to your leader, and your team will win the grand prize!

Everyone on your team should dress up like MONSTERS. Trophies will be awarded for best costumes!

Everyone who plays gets an “Alien Invasion” medal.

Then, settle in the sand on your blanket or beach chairs to watch the animated family film “Monsters vs. Aliens.” The movie begins around 8:30pm.

Movie synopsis: Monsters vs. Aliens (PG) - When a meteorite from outer space hits a young California woman named Susan Murphy and turns her into a giant monster, she is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years. As a last resort, under the guidance of General W.R. Monger, on a desperate order from The President, the motley crew of Monsters is called into action to combat the aliens and save the world from imminent destruction!
